A new framework for end of life care in England has been published today (8 September). Ambitions for Palliative and End of Life Care: A national framework for local action 2015-2020 - sets 6 'ambitions'. These include that each person is seen as an individual, receives fair access to care, their comfort and wellbeing is maximised, care is coordinated, that all staff are prepared to care and that each community is prepared to help.

The framework has been produced by the National Palliative and End of Life Care Partnership.
