The BMA has today (14 Jan 2016) published the
findings of a major project to examine both the public and
medical professionals' attitudes on aspects of end-of-life
care and physician-assisted dying.
Launching the report, the BMA calls for UK
Governments to prioritise end-of-life care, as the new research
finds the current provision does not consistently match either
the public or doctor's expectations. Improvement
of end-of-life care and ensuring a high-level of care is
available across the country should both be
priorities.
